Sprint confirms white Samsung Epic 4G Touch Jan 8
Sprint made a minor contribution to the CES run-up with two special phone variants. The provider confirmed a white Epic 4G Touch and plans to have the special version in stores on January 8 for $200 on a contract. It keeps the 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos processor, WiMAX 4G, and Android 2.3 as its black cousin.
Boost Mobile, meanwhile, is getting its turn at the Samsung Replenish. The design is the prepaid carrier's first green Android phone and is built partly with recycled plastic along with eco-friendly packaging. The fixed-QWERTY phone focuses on the budget field with a 2.8-inch touchscreen and a simple two-megapixel camera.
Boost will ship the Android 2.3-based Replenish on January 16 through its own stores for $100 contract-free, making it one of the least expensive smartphones to own in the US. Other shops will get it in late February.
