Warner Bros teases upcoming media service

Warner Bros. has made the unusual choice of going into cloud photo sharing. Out My Window promises to let users share photos across platforms, including smartphones, tablets, TVs, and presumably computers. While the full features aren't known, rademarks that the media studio acquired in December suggest a "peer-to-peer" element and that OMW will tie into social networks.

Images on the page suggest that at least iPads and other iOS devices will be part of the initial group with native apps.

The service so far exists only as a teaser where prospective users can sign up to be notified. Warner Bros. hasn't unveiled OMW yet, although it might use CES next week as a venue for the introduction if the photo sharing is ready to go.

Cloud photos have picked up in popluarity in the past year through recent additions like Instagram, Path, and Picplz, but most have been operated independent of any media service. It's not apparent at this early stage what Warner Bros. can or will do to make the service stand out, since such services would rarely depend on having existing, professionally made content.
