HP Envy Spectre set to be unveiled next week

HP has teased the Envy Spectre for the second time ahead of CES 2012. The new notebook looks as though it will be the first Envy notebook to fall into Intel’s new ultrabook category. As the photo (and the video below) shows, the new device appears to be quite thin as well as sport the look of the recent HP Envy 15.

The specific size of this notebook has not yet been although an unannounced notebook known as the HP Envy Spectre in a 14-inch size has previously turned up at the FCC. It carries dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n and is expected to carry Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors, which at 22nm are an ideal fit for an ultra book.

The HP Spectre is also known to carry Beats Audio, although all other details are expected to be revealed next week at CES. As with most things, its pricing will be critical if it is to set itself apart from the throng of ultrabooks expected to show over the next week.
