Samsung Galaxy Note gets ATT confirmation early

Samsung's Galaxy Note for AT&T has been confirmed by Samsung itself ahead of time. Both banners and display ads in the Las Vegas Convention Center clearly show the device with its new AT&T badge and deliberately less iPhone-like navigation keys. It's not clear from the shots that the 5.3-inch crossover device will use 4G LTE, however.

The device runs a dual-core 1.4GHz processor but centers on its 800x1280 display, pen support, and apps. It also carries an eight-megapixel rear camera and a two-megapixel camera in the front. Android 2.3 ships with it so far, although it's one of the first expected to get Android 4.0.

An unveiling for the AT&T model could come as early as the AT&T Developer Summit at noon Eastern on Monday, although it may at the latest show up at the afternoon Samsung keynote.
