Gigabyte makes multiple notebook unveilings
Gigabyte has lifted the lid (pdf) on a varied line-up of new hardware that targets a wide audience. The most notable is the 11-inch Booktop T1132N, which offers 3-in-1 functionality by doing duty as a notebook, tablet, and desktop. Also just announced are the T1006M, a 10.1-inch convertible tablet notebook, the 15-inch P232F Blu-ray gaming notebook and the Booktop M2432 notebook that also combines with a desktop docking station.
The 11.6-inch Booktop T1132N is powered by a second-gen Intel Core i5 processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GT520M sporting 1GB of VRAM. It also offers dual-channel stereo speakers and with two woofer speakers with THX TruStudio Pro capability. Connectivity includes a built-in 3.5G antenna, USB 3.0 and HDMI. It can be converted from notebook, to tablet and then desktop using a special docking station equipped with a super-multi DVD drive and multiple ports.
The T1006M incorporates a high-resolution 1366x768 10.1-inch multi-touch display. It is powered by the latest Intel Atom Cedar Trail platform and includes a 6-cell battery for decent performance on the road. Also included is a USB 3.0 port while it is also 3.5g ready.
The 15-inch P2532F Blu-ray gaming notebook is powered by a second-gen quad-core i7 processor paired with a suitably powerful NVIDIA GeForce GT555M carrying 2GB of VRAM. It also incorporates THX TruStudio sound, a 7,200rpm 750GB hard drive, 8GB of RAM, two USB 3.0 ports and HDMI port.
Finally, the 14-inch M2432 notebook sports an aluminum hairline brushed finish. It is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor that includes integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. It is THX TruStudio equipped and also includes a discrete GPU in the NVIDIA GT 440 with 1GB of VRAM. Its dock includes six USB ports, HDMI, D-Sub, and a DVI port.
