The Daily migrates away from iPad for first time

Verizon has announced deals to bring a series of prominent apps to Android tablets, such as Slacker Radio. The most important of these, though, may be The Daily, which until now has been iPad-only. It launched in Feburary as a collaboration between Apple and News Corp., inaugurating subscription support for iOS, and News Corp.'s first tablet-only publication.

The app will initially be available for Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners. Subscriptions will cost $4 a month, or $40 annually. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 should gain access at a later date.
