Kinect sales also at record pace

Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer, during the company's last CES keynote earlier this week, has provided some statistics on Xbox 360 sales. The company claims that it has sold more than 66 million of the gaming consoles worldwide. About 10 million of the sales came just in the fall.

Accessories for the Xbox are also selling well. From November 2010 to January 2011, Microsoft sold eight million Kinect units, still making it the record holder for fastest-selling consumer electronics devices, according to Guiness World Records. Since last January, another 10 million Kinects have been sold. Microsoft also claims to have over 40 million subscribers to its Xbox Live service. [via SlashGear]
