Phone offers up to 21.5 hours talk time
On Wednesday, Motorola unveiled its latest high-end 4G LTE smartphones, the Droid RAZR MAXX and Droid 4. The company didn't provide a release date but has inadvertently ">posted on its own product page that the new Android hardware should ship January 26. The mentions aren't consistent but show that the date may have already been locked before CES.
The Droid RAZR MAXX keeps the 4.3-inch qHD display and 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. Its chief addition of a 3,300mAH battery is enough to give as much as 21 hours of talk time or, Motorola claims, as many as eight HD movies in a row. The original Droid RAZR was often criticized for short battery life when using 4G.
For software, Motorola is still including its own image editing tools. Also preloaded is the company's Motocast app for remote streaming from a PC as well as Smart Actions that provide easy macros for frequent tasks.
