Native Instruments shows off future 16-bank mixer
Native Instruments, a maker of DJ hardware, has just teased an upcoming product through a video embedded below. Technical details are non-existent at this time, but the new device looks like a combination of the company's current Maschine production studio and its Kontrol X1 user interface. It combines an external mixer and turntables.
It thus mimics the company's Traktor Scratch as it uses vinyl control rather than using software. The bank of 16 hot cues lets users drop in sample music and remix quickly. The current Kontrol-series mixers only get four sample banks.
Release dates for the new, yet-unnamed device aren't yet known. [via TheNextWeb]

Sample/Loop Controller
It actually looks like a Sample/Loop Controller to be used in conjunction with The Traktor X1 Effects Controller. It also seems to be an updated version of Traktor that allows for multiple (looks like 4 at most) Samples/Loops within the current 4 (per deck) Sample/Loop Channels. Seems to be a great alternative to Ableton Live for Djs.
