iOS 5.1 beta 3 discoveries continue

More searching in Apple's iOS 5.1 beta 3 has uncovered references to elements once thought dead. The iMore exploration has shown references to Facebook contact entries. Apple was believed to have been tying Facebook into iOS 4 but to have backed out during the row over Ping integration.

Also included once more are references to J1 and J2, both codenames linked to the iPad 3. Not much is known other than the J1AP and J2AP references, although they're included in a thermal notification code string where only existing products are otherwise mentioned. Apple has taken to including fake names at the higher level to throw off the easiest checks for new hardware.

It's possible the Facebook code is a holdover from before. The iPad code is more likely an indication that iOS 5.1 will be the shipping release for any future iPads.

The Facebook option is currently part of iCloud Contacts.. I'm pretty sure it was part of MobileMe Contacts as well.
