Facebook Timeline now becoming automatic

Timeline begins rolling out to all starting today
After introducing the feature in mid-December, Facebook has just confirmed that Timeline is starting a mandatory rollout for all Facebook users starting Tuesday, January 24. The process will take several weeks to reach all users, however.
As always, users will have seven days to preview their individual timelines and make any changes before they go live and appear to others on the social network. Users will be able to add or hide certain facts or posts about them in the timeline during this time.
Those who are eager to get the new profile can do so by visiting the dedicated page and clicking on Get Timeline. Otherwise, they can wait until the announcement is made at the top of their profile page. The timeline profile changes how the page looks but retains all posts and photos. As the name suggests, Timeline will delve into a user's total history, going back to birth if they like, rather than their immediate status and current lifestyle.
