ThinkPad X130e up for pre-order, ships February 9

The delayed Lenovo ThinkPad X130e notebook is now available for pre-order on the company's website. Due to ship on February 9, the notebooks will start at $429. That price includes an 11.6-inch, 1366x768 display and AMD's dual-core, 1.3GHz E-300 Fusion processor.

The higher-spec model will have a 1.4GHz Intel Core i3 onboard and be priced at $549. Specs common to both models include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port and both HDMI as well as VGA for video. A low-light webcam is also present, and users can spec up to 500GB of hard drive space and as much as 8GB of RAM. The base system weighs 3.9lbs.

What makes the notebook most special are its rugged credentials. They include a spill-resistant keyboard, a rubber bumper around the top cover, and beefed up hinges, ports and corners.
