Samsung not sure if Galaxy S III will unveil soon

Samsung as part of the call discussing its record fall results still left open concerns about a late Galaxy S III introduction. Senior marketing VP Younghee Lee said that the company was "still reviewing" some options as to when to release a new Galaxy flagship. No exact date had been set, she said.

While her remarks don't preclude a Mobile World Congress, being uncertain with just a month to go before Mobile World Congress makes it doubtful the next-generation smartphone will be showed at the Barcelona event. The rumor prompting Lee's response had Samsung delaying the unveiling until it could be reasonably close to the American release given the much larger importance of the country to its strategy.

If not at MWC, the Galaxy S III would be most likely to show at a special event independent of a trade show. Samsung's next-closest opportunity for a trade show after MWC is CTIA's spring show, which doesn't happen until May. [via Sammy Hub]
