Flaming Lips post track with iPhone 4S' Siri, Erykah Badu

Flaming Lips song uses Siri as core instrument

The Flaming Lips' frontman Wayne Coyne posted word of a very unique, fleeting track (below) where the iPhone 4S' Siri plays a central role. The experimental "Now I Understand" has Siri saying it doesn't understand "the moon, the stars, and the sun." After Erykah Badu comes in with verses pointing them out, Siri answers with what's now the song title.

The piece has a low-key effort from the Lips themselves and samples Biz Markie backwards. Coyne has only promised that the track will be officially available for a week.

The Flaming Lips are well-known Apple fans and have found ways to incorporate the technology into their music. They recently played a tribute to Steve Jobs on an iPad and have composed with Macs. [via The Verge]

    Siri credits?

Does Siri gets royalties for her performance?

    Love Erykah Badu

But this feeble composition is just embarrassing! Erykah - stay away from anyone with a name like Flaminglips ; )
