LG's Optimus 2X also makes the lineup
Canadian cellular provider Wind Mobile has confirmed that it is set to launch several new smartphones, including Samsung's Galaxy Nexus and RIM's BlackBerry Bold 9790 and the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in white. The announcement marks further expansion of the Nexus into the Canadian market, following on the heels of Rogers, Telus, Bell and Virgin Mobile.
Wind Mobile utilizes the same 1,700MHz 3G band as competitors Videotron and Mobilicity, both of which have also confirmed Nexus launch plans for the near future.
The Nexus will be available through Wind Mobile sometime before Valentine's Day for $249 with a contract subsidy, or $599 outright. The Bold 9790 will sell for $49 with the subsidy, while the Curve 9360 will be available as a two-pack for no cost when subsidized through the carrier's WINDtab program.
