Apple continues drawing from gaming industry

Apple has recruited an important executive from Microsoft's Xbox division, Robin Burrowes, reports say. Until this week, Burrowes was in control of Xbox Live marketing for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region. At Apple, he will be responsible for marketing the App Store for iTunes Europe. Other highlights on his resume include work on Microsoft's MSN, and time with music and movie retailer HMV.

Apple has pulled a several executives from the gaming industry in recent times. One of these is a former Nintendo PR executive, Robert Saunders, who is now promoting iOS apps. Handling some hardware-related PR duties for Apple is Nick Grange, who earlier had PR roles at Activision, Electronic Arts, and Microsoft.
