Pricing and launch date expected soon

Microsoft has quickly terminated its pre-order program for Nokia's Lumia 900 handset, after taking deposits for a week. The company has yet to disclose full details surrounding the move, however it has ignited speculation that the flagship Windows Phone 7 smartphone may be nearing its ship date.

The Lumia 900 marks Nokia's fresh approach to the US smartphone market, bringing a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, a single-core 1.4GHz processor and 16GB of RAM. A recent leak suggests an international version featuring a white color scheme will follow the US launch.

Unnamed sources have told The Verge that Nokia is set to formally announce the 900's price tag and launch date "shortly." Separate rumors suggest the company may have already chosen March 18 for availability through AT&T for $99, however the phone maker and the carrier have yet to confirm the details.
