Netflix Android port gets social sharing

Netflix has updated its Android app (Market to add Facebook sharing in those countries that support it. Canada, Ireland, Latin American countries, and the UK now let viewers share what they're watching or check others' habits directly from the app. American users can't yet get access as Netflix is waiting on a bill easing video privacy permissions.

Regardless of the country, users get software volume controls to help those with the Amazon Kindle Fire change sound without hardware buttons as well as better audio sync. A problem has also been fixed where the image flickered or split for some tablet owners.

The app as always requires at least Android 2.2 on a phone, or 3.0 on an optimized tablet, to watch. Netflix hasn't yet updated the iOS app to port the Facebook option.
