Carrier posts reference to Android 4.0.3

Sprint may be working to offer an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for Samsung's Epic 4G Touch handset. The carrier has added to its official website an RDF page for the Epic 4G Touch running Android 4.0.3, fueling speculation that an update is currently working its way through the development process.

The carrier recently released a minor update for the Epic 4G Touch, pulling Carrier IQ software and bringing a few minor tweaks, however the company has yet to make an official announcement regarding an Android 4.0 update.

Samsung late last year confirmed Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade plans for its basic Galaxy S II handset, which serves as the hardware basis for the Epic Touch 4G. The company promised a first-quarter release, though the update is expected to take time to pass through carriers. [via SprintFeed]
