Company estimates Q1 launch

Time Warner Cable has confirmed that it is working to bring streaming TV content to Android devices. In a Twitter post, Time Warner director of digital communication Jeff Simmermon suggests the feature may be limited to devices running Android 4.0 builds.

The company currently offers several Android applications, including My TWC and TWC TV. The former simply provides account management tools, while the latter serves as a remote control and enables users to control their DVR while away from home.

Simmermon claims the company is aiming to have the streaming feature ready by March, however he admits that the date is "very loose."
