HTC Android 4.0 tablet to be just 9mm think

An upcoming tablet from HTC, now codenamed Vertex and previously known as Quattro, is in the news again, with a test photo taken from its built-in camera and shared online by Notebook Italia. While the photo does little in terms of new info, it is accompanied by an admittedly unconfirmed 9mm (0.35in) thickness.

The 10.1-inch device is said to have a quad-core Tegra 3 processor from NVIDIA paired with 1GB of RAM and the screen should sport a 1280x768 resolution (not 786 as written).

The rear camera would be shooting at two megapixels based on the size, while the front is rated at 1.3 megapixels; it's possible the rear camera was set to a lower than normal resolution. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 should be onboard as well. As reported before, Beats Audio-certified stereo speakers are likely to be built-in. Android 4.0 with a tablet version of Sense 4.0 should come standard.

The Vertex is expected to ship in March and be officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress later this month.
