HP TouchPads with CM9 get Android 4.0 updates

HP TouchPad owners with the CyanogenMod 9 build can now get nightly builds of the Alpha software, with constant updates and bug fixes for Android 4.0. The Teamwin project effectively synchronizes CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 6 for the TouchPad with the development branch of CM9 for all devices.

The unofficial builds are likely to be the better bet for now, as CyanogenMod dev Erik Hardesty doesn't see releasing more alpha versions soon. Camera support and video playback may come in the alpha or beta updates eventually, however.

The builds can be installed without removing any of the data and settings on the tablet. All that's needed is downloading the ZIP file, rebooting into ClockwordMod and choosing to update from the ZIP. [via Liliputing]
