Launches micro-site to hype Android

Last year, Google and its Android OS had a large presence at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011. Google has now launched a micro-site for the 2012 event. Google is teasing that its footprint will be as significant.

The site currently has little information. It does however provide a rendering of of its booth, which appears to be quite sizable. Google is also providing a counter that marks the days, hours and minutes until the event kicks off in Barcelona on February 27.

Last year, the booth was used both to showcase the variety of known hardware as well as tease a small amount of previously unknown devices.
