Notebook initially promised for $160 less

Lenovo has finally begun taking pre-orders for its 13.3-inch U300e ultrabook, which was shown earlier this year at CES. The company appears to have increased the notebook's price since it was first introduced, however, jumping from $799 to $959 without any apparent change in the basic specs.

The notebook features a 1366x768 display and Intel's dual-core ultra-low power 1.6GHz Core i5 processor. The basic package also offers integrated graphics, 4GB of RAM, a buttonless multi-touch trackpad, and hybrid storage that pairs a 32GB SSD with a 500GB hard drive.

Lenovo lists "more than four weeks" as the shipping time-frame for the U300e, leaving the exact ship date unclear.
