Tablet widely expected to premiere in March
Photos from the Chinese-language website Weibo appear to depict the front panel display and digitizer assembly for an iPad 3, notes Apple.pro. The hardware is said to be similar to that for the iPad 3, but with the distinction of a ribbon cable extending up the side of the display. In the iPad 2, an equivalent cable is said to be shorter, with a different orientation.
A series of alleged iPad 3 parts have been leaked in the past few weeks, such as casings, displays, and logic boards. The tablet is believed to be in full production, and an announcement is expected in early March, possibly March 7th. It could ship to stores and online buyers as soon as March 16th.
