Will offer refunds for remaining subscription time

As part of the launch of its ill-fated TouchPad, HP lined up several top content providers, including Time, Inc., to offer online subscriptions on the tablet. Now, almost seven months after HP stopped marketing the TouchPad, Time has notified subscribers that it will soon stop delivering content to their webOS-powered devices. The publisher will end support for the platform on March 10.

Time had been offering TouchPad owners subscriptions to four of its magazines: Time Magazine, People, Sports Illustrated, and Fortune. The publisher has advised subscribers that they will receive refunds for any remaining time for which they were entitled to download content. TouchPad owners can still use web-based subscription services, such as Zinio, to access the magazines online. [via webOS Nation]
