HTC set to bring Dragon phones to China with Android 4.0

updated 02:40 am EST, Mon February 27, 2012

Lineup includes three 4-inch models

After unveiling the One smartphone lineup yesterday at Mobile World Congress, HTC has introduced another trio, the Dragon series, that will be headed to China. The brand includes three different models that are similar to the One V, each featuring entry-level hardware paired with Android 4.0.

The phones integrate a four-inch display, single-core 1GHz processor, Beats Audio certification, five-megapixel cameras and HTC's Sense UI overlay.

Most of the hardware specs match the One V, except for the larger screen size and lack of HTC's ImageChip image processing components, according to an Engadget report.

The Dragon phones, which will be renamed before launch, are said to be headed to China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom, though the company is considering other markets in the future. A launch date and pricing for the Chinese offerings remains unclear.
