Best Buy to up return policy to 30 days from 14?

updated 02:15 pm EST, Wed February 29, 2012

Best Buy will double return policy period

Starting Monday, March 5, electronics retailer Best Buy may expand its return policy for all items from 14 days to 30, TUAW learned this week. This will include tablets that include the iPad, notebooks such as MacBooks, and other electronics. The screenshot embedded below also reflects this change.

Apple continues to offer a 14-day return window, while Amazon already offers 30-day returns for all the electronics it sells. Exactly why Best Buy changed its policy isn't known, but it should be confirmed next week with an official confirmation from the retailer. The extension should also cover the cost matching policy if found for less elsewhere during the 30-day period.
