Offers live and video-on-demand content

Having offered a similar but different app for the Android Market, Sprint today debuted its free Sprint TV App for iOS that offers all three major networks along with other channels free of charge for Sprint iPhone customers on the company's unlimited data plan. The channels can also be watched on Wi-Fi or 3G for those with less-than-unlimited plans, and include NBC, ABC, CBS, The Weather Channel, ESPN Mobile, the Disney Channel and more.

In addition to the channels listed above, the free service also includes Bravo Mobile, the USA Network, the Speed Channel (and NASCAR on Speed), Syfy, LMN, ABC News Now, ET to Go and the Broadway Channel. Users can opt to pay extra for additional channels. The "Sprint TV Xtra" plan costs $10 per month and adds Fox News, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and ABC Family.

There is also a $8 per month "en Vivo" plan that offers Latin and Hispanic programming, and a "Playground TV" package for $5 per month that features PBS Kids, Sesame Street, BabyFirst TV, Discovery for Families and Pocoyo. Other packages include Frequency Music, My Life TV, Urban Zone, Sprint TV 4Biz, Movie Mania, Action Pack, Looney Tunes, the Playboy Channel, a local TV package and several adults-only options.

Premium subscriptions of any kind are automatically billed to the user's Sprint bill. All services offer both live and video-on-demand options.
