Wacom launches Intuos5 multi-touch tablets
Wacom has launched the latest iteration of its professional pen tablet range, the Intuos5 series. The creative tablets are aimed at professional photographers, designers and artists as a method of fine input for applications including Photoshop. The new Intuos5 series includes multi-touch support, Express View heads-up display software that shows current settings on the tablet, and a new soft-touch matte finish.
The new tablets support both PCs and Mac as well as multi-touch gestures made by hand along with the included stylus. Finger-based gesture support includes support for zoom, scroll, pan, and the ability to rotate digital content. Customized gestures can also be set for individual applications to help users streamline their workflow.
Three models are available in small (4x6-inches, $265), medium (6x8-inches, $400) and large (13x8-inches, $550). A pen-only version in the medium size is also available for $350. Prices are in Australian dollars, where the models are already shipping. US prices and availability have not yet been announced. [via Engadget]
