AOC 23-inch monitor does passive 3D at 5.8mm thin

AOC Europe has introduced a new monitor, the passive 3D-capable d2357Ph. The 23-inch screen is just 5.8mm thick without its stand, but with it installed is 10.6mm thick. It relies on passive 3D technology and ships with one pair of passive 3D glasses as well as one clip-on that attaches to eyeglasses.

The white LED-backlit monitor can also convert 2D content to 3D, while other tech specs include a 1080p resolution and a 2ms response time. The static contrast ratio is 1,000:1, while the more commonly quoted dynamic ratio is 20 million to one. The refresh rate is just 60Hz, and the horizontal viewing angles are 170 degrees in the horizontal and 160 degrees in the vertical. There are two HDMI 1.4 ports and one VGA input.

The d2357Ph ships in April in the UK, priced at £205 (about $325). If or when it will arrive in North America remains to be seen.
