Device passes as PJ53100

HTC's Droid Incredible 4G, also referred to by the codename Fireball, may have passed through the FCC ahead of a formal announcement. The Commission has approved a mystery HTC device referred to by the model number PJ53100, though the test documents do not explicitly reveal the true identity.

The tests do indicate that the device supports LTE band 13, suggesting that it will be headed to Verizon.

Recent rumors point to a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and Android 4.0 as likely features, however a full list of specs has yet to surface.

Launch timing also remains unclear, but CTIA's spring show in May serves as an unveiling venue for many new devices that will be headed for the North American market. [via Engadget]
