Google fixes broken Play Store, flips on some prepaid Wallet

Google brings back Play and Wallet for some

Google has sorted out a pair of significant glitches with Android content on Thursday. A new version of the Google Play Store is being pushed out over the air to fix an issue that broke links for Motorola users. While the store had always remained in place, it forced users both to contend with broken links and hunt for the app separately.

Simultaneously, some end users have started noticing that they can now add their prepaid cards back to Google Wallet. Google had started restoring cards after a security exploit mid-month, but users hadn't seen their Google-issued cards come back until Thursday. Not everyone is getting the cards, suggesting there's a gradual phase-in planned. [via Droid-Life]
