Will take over former Eddie Bauer location

Apple is hiring for staff at a forthcoming Apple store at Masonville Place in London, Ontario. An internal document meant for mall employees reveals that the location, near a Gap store in a spot formerly leased by Eddie Bauer, will be "under construction until late June," indicating a late June or early July opening. The jobs are listed on both the Apple Canada site and the Masonville Place website, reports MobileSyrup.

The new store will be the eighth in Ontario but the first one in London, a city of about 370,000 people. The city is positioned almost halfway between Canada's largest city of Toronto, and the US city of Detroit.

The space to be used for the store measures 6,176 feet according to a leasing brochure, and tell-tale black construction facades have already gone up. Apple is hiring for all positions, including Geniuses, Inventory Specialist and other positions. [via MobileSyrup]

    Good location choice

Not far away from the university I'm pretty sure it's a good location. The Masonville Mall is probably not the most busy mall in London but with a Apple Store this will definitely change. Can't wait.
