Reader updates over Wi-Fi

Barnes & Noble has released a maintenance update for its Simple Touch e-book reader. The company's website suggests v1.1.2 brings "minor system enhancements," though representatives have confirmed that it attempts to address a Wi-Fi reliability issue that has affected some users.

Users can wait for the automatic over-the-air update, which arrives via Wi-Fi, or manually install the update after downloading the files onto a computer and connecting the reader using a USB cable.

The automatic roll-out begins today and continues over the coming weeks. [via Engadget]
