Nokia Maps mobile web app gets voice navigation
Nokia has enhanced the functionality of its mobile Nokia Maps web interface for iOS and Android platforms with new voice-guided navigation instructions. There is no need to download an app for either, as it's accessed from the mobile browser. To get the voice directions, users will need to accept an audio file that is about 2MB in size.
When walking, the company suggests using a headset so no instructions are misheard, and the phone can be put away once a user trusts the speed of the app. Unfortunately, the mobile web app was designed for urban use, and doesn't have voice-guided driving.
Android users need to have at least Android 2.3 in order to use the mobile web app.
