Tests confirm support for AT&T LTE
The Federal Communications Commission has certified Samsung's SGH-i667 handset, which is believed to represent the Windows Phone device known by the codename Mandel. The documents appear to confirm that the device is set up for AT&T's LTE and HSPA+ networks.
The FCC tests do not shed light on any other hardware features, however recent leaks suggest the device the handset may resemble a larger counterpart to the company's Focus S.
The Mandel did not make an official debut last month at Mobile World Congress, though CTIA's spring event is now considered a potential venue. The timing may coincide with Microsoft's Windows Phone Tango update, which is expected to arrive sometime this spring. [via Pocketnow]
