10.1-inch still ships with Android 3.2

Last week, Archos began rolling out Android 4.0 upgrades to its 80 G9 and 101 G9 tablet customers. This week, the company has begun shipping the premium turbo version of the 8-inch model with Android ICS pre-loaded. The company has indicated on its storefront that the 10.1-inch turbo model will begin shipping in April.

Athos initially began shipping the basic Athos 80 G9 in September. In October, it followed on with two turbo models, one with a 1.2GHz processor and a second turbo model with a higher performance 1.5GHz TI processor. It now appears that the company is dropping the entry model while beefing up the basic turbo version. The lowest price turbo model is now £200 ($314 USD) the same price for which it was selling the original entry level model. The 1.5GHz turbo version is now selling for £240 ($377 USD).
