updated 10:35 pm EDT, Thu March 15, 2012

In-browser video screen enlarged by 55%

Hulu has revamped its web-based video portal in an attempt to improve the viewing experience. Users will now see a larger video screen when watching directly from the browser, as the player now covers 55 percent more area than the previous layout.

The player also offers a new frame and a drop shadow, while the background has been tweaked with a dark grey matte appearance. Video details and social sharing features have been moved below the player, while the overall layout is claimed to be 'crisper' than its predecessor.

The revamped player is immediately available on Hulu.com for unsubscribed visitors and Hulu Plus members.
