Nikon includes free XQD card, reader with D4s?
The Nikon D4 flagship DSLR is shipping in the launch countries with a free 16GB Sony XQD memory card and reader, NikonRumors reported. This applies to those who pre-ordered the camera, and is estimated to be worth about $185. XQD cards haven't shipped yet, however, so the free storage might be included only with the first batch. The D4 is priced at $6,000 for a body only.
At the same time, the same source reported that every D800E camera in Europe will be bundled with Nikon Capture NX software. The D800E differs from the D800 as it removes the low-pass filter to improve the sharpness, though moiré artifacts may be present, hence the software to fix it. Whether this bundle will arrive in the US as well remains to be seen.
