Shows interface in preparation for April 1 launch
HBO has begun its marketing push in anticipation of its April 1 introduction of support for HBO Go on the Xbox 360. As part of that campaign, the video content provider has created and uploaded a video "tease" on YouTube (below). Showcased in the video is the Xbox's ability to use Kinect voice commands to manage the service's user interface.
Microsoft officially acknowledged its Xbox 360 Live TV option back in October. Since then, Xbox owners have waited for cable services providers as well as content providers to develop the interfaces for the Xbox's Dashboard so that they could watch the media using their gaming console instead of a set-top box.
In order to access HBO Go, Xbox owners must still have a subscription to HBO through cable or satellite providers that acknowledge Go. If they have that subscription, they will be able to watch HBO videos wherever they set up their Xbox, even if its away from their own home.
