Waterproof Sony Bloggie Sport ships on March 16

The Sony Bloggie Sport camera introduced at this past CES is now shipping. The rugged and water-resistant camera can be submerged in up to 16 feet of water while taking photos or 1080p videos. The five-megapixel camera has 4GB of storage space, but no memory card slot.

The 2.7-inch touchscreen works underwater as well, and the settings will change automatically to correct white balance when submerged. An LED light will help shooting in dark environments, and the camera has face-detection technology as well. Software makes sharing content much easier, allowing quick uploads to Facebook, YouTube, or Sony's PlayMemories Online service. A flip-out USB arm will let users transfer images and charge the camera's built-in battery, while an HDMI input let users throw images up onto HDTVs.

The camera can be had in red, black, or blue, priced at $180.
