HTC One X inbound for Sprint as Jet, dual-core
The HTC One X may reach Sprint as the Jet on June 10 according to s4gru. However, as with the AT&T version, the device will ship with a Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, instead of the Tegra 3 quad-core chip that will ship in some markets. In addition to being the first HTC device to carry the MSM8960 processor, it will also be the first to include NFC.
The One X/Jet will also come with 1GB of RAM and will center on a 4.7-inch Super LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 graced by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. As Sprint’s third LTE-equipped device, it will incorporate CDMA 1X, EV-DO Rev 0/A/B and LTE Band class 25. The wireless capabilities of the device are rounded out by 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth 4.0).
The HTC One X/Jet is HTC’s new halo phone and is squarely aimed at the Samsung Galaxy S II and the forthcoming Galaxy S III. Whether it will be enough for HTC to regain lost market share to Samsung in 2011 will remain to be seen. As with recent HTC devices, it also seeks to differentiate by incorporating Beats enhanced audio, but will also include HTC’s new Sense 4.0 UI. [via Phandroid]
