Rogers to hold Batman contest with Lumia 900

Canadian wireless provider Rogers has put up a pre-order page for the Nokia Lumia 900, though it has since been removed. The details included a price of $100 CAD (nearly $101) for a three-year contract, as is typical in Canada. That contract will cost $62.35 for 200 minutes, unlimited text messages, and 1GB of data. Another option at $52.35 would cut the data to 500MB per month.

As part of the pre-order, which should make its way back on the site sometime in the hopefully near future, a contest for winning a limited-edition version was running. Details of the contest elsewhere on the web include a grand prize of a private screening of The Dark Knight Rieses on July 20 that includes popcorn, soft drinks, and swag bags, along with a special edition Lumia 900 that may have a Batman logo engraved like its Lumia 800 counterpart. The contest closes on April 10, and the grand prize is said to be worth about $1,950.

Launch dates at Rogers weren't revealed, though it may be close to the expected April 22 launch for AT&T, though a more recent rumor had it arriving on April 8. The phone would cost $100 at the US carrier, though with a two-year contract and likely better terms. If the former proves true, the contest date suggest Canada will get the handset slightly later than the US.

The Lumia 900 will be the flagship Windows Phone handset, sporting a 1.4GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display. An eight-megapixel camera would also be present, along with LTE in the Canadian and US versions. [via SlashGear]
