Win 8-optimized business concept apps shown

Microsoft has shared its vision of what it thinks its Dynamics business apps would look like when optimized for Windows 8 and its Metro-style interface. The concepts will be shown at the Convergence conference that kicked off on Monday. Sent to ZDNet, the images represent HTML5 clients that connect to Dynamics ERP and CRM back-end services.

The first image shows how a Dynamics Start page in the Metro look would look like. It looks clean and straightforward, with clearly organized sections that are well-spaced. It would also be highly customizable by users.

The second one shows a Project Approval window, as it would appear on a tablet. The mockups give an idea what the apps would look like across multiple types of Microsoft Windows 8-powered devices.

When they may arrive hasn't been revealed, however, though blogger Brandon George believes a Windows 8 version of Dynamics AX 7 client is due in 2013 or 2014, citing Microsoft's own internal documents.
