Android 4.0.5 for Verizon Galaxy Nexus en route?

Android 4.0.5 may arrive in early April on Verizon for its Galaxy Nexus users. Well-known Verizon insider @Black_Man_X has revealed as much via his Twitter account indicating that new build is said to currently be undergoing testing. If released as planned, it will include media fixes for an audio reboot issue as well as data falling asleep.

It is not the first time that rumors of an Android 4.0 update for Verizon Galaxy Nexus users has surfaced. Previously, Mobile Syrup had suggested Android 4.0.5 may have arrived as early as March, although that did not eventuate.

Verizon, and in particular Google, have been taking a lot of criticism recentlyfor the extended wait times facing users of reference handsets in getting timely updates. A world-wide rollout of Android 4.0 for Nexus S users has still not arrived following the unveiling of the Android 4.0 source-code in October last year.
