New tool automatically suggests acquaintances
Facebook has introduced a new tool that enables users to quickly filter content that has not been posted by close friends. The company's web-based portal is now capable of suggesting acquaintances based on interaction frequency, reducing the need for users to manually peruse their entire friend lists.
The tool is an extension of Facebook's Close Friends and Acquaintances feature, which helps users focus on status updates from their closest friends. After the lists are populated, users encounter more posts from close friends and fewer from distant contacts.
The new tool is now available from the Friends page under the Acquaintances list as "See All Suggestions."
