Streaming music service continues to expand apps

Spotify has continued to expand its library of apps, introducing a series of titles that are dedicated to various record labels. The latest apps, which are available via Spotify's desktop software, enable users to access specific content released by studios such as Warner Music, Def Jam, EMI, Matador, Sony and Universal, among others.

The label apps provide a way for the studios to introduce new artists, highlight existing content from each company's library, publish exclusive and interactive content, and create customized playlists.

The streaming music service has also launched The Complete Collection, an app that provides access to liner notes, lyrics and images for select artists. Content currently includes 150 album booklet, with more promised to be added in the near future.

The new apps are now available via Spotify's Mac and Windows desktop software.
