Google Play link slips into Google's toolbar

Link directs users to Android portal

Google has quietly tweaked its web-based toolbar to include a link to the Google Play portal for Android apps, movies, music and books. The tab now sits among links to the search giant's range of sites, including Google+, Maps, Images, YouTube, Documents and Gmail, among others.

Clicking on the Play tab directs users to the marketplace interface, which mimics the native app available on Android devices. Users can then browse for new content or view music, books, movies or Android apps that they have already purchased or downloaded.

The Play tab appears to have been added to the web interface for all users with Google accounts.
