Epson Moverio BT-100 ships in the US for $700

Epson America has just revealed it brought its Moverio BT-100 for sale in the US. Billed as the first wearable, Android-based and see-through display, the display uses micro-projection to stream 2D and 3D video on what wearers perceive as an 80-inch screen. There is Wi-Fi onboard and a wired remote control, with battery life rated at six hours.

Local content can be stored on the 1GB of internal memory, or on a microSDHC memory card slot. A 4GB card is included. Users can access YouTube and Vimeo as well as interacting with regular Android apps. The display supports Flash 11 and Dolby Mobile audio. Included earphones detach from the glasses to keep clutter to a minimum.

The Moverio BT-100 is now shipping for $700.
